I don't want to live according to the world's standard anymore. I don't need to "keep up with the Joneses". My identity is not defined by my profession, nor is my self worth dependent on the amount written on my paycheck. Popularity and social status are irrelevant and unnecessary because my identity is no longer based on those things.
Today I choose to live according to a different standard, Jesus's standard. In Him I have all the acceptance I will ever need. From Him comes provision for my every need. Compared to Him, nothing else satisfies and brings true Joy!

I get the feeling the paychecks, social status and populariy weren't really high on your list in the first place :) (haha, slacker in a hoodie. woot.) But cool cool.
But that's coming from me, your total opposite. haha.
hahaha well...they aren't but, for me that stuff (paychecks, etc) was my security. Basically for me what i have been facing is, "is God really GOD, in my life? or am i still in control?"
Its crazy, just when i think I have a good grip on God, He goes and shows me something else that just blows me away. How stupid am I to think that I can hold all of God in my puny human hands eh?
But yeah, God is Gracious, and boy am i glad for that!

But yeah, its been really super busy here, and the internet has been down. Its going really great though, God's really challenging me and giving me bits n' pieces of His vision & plan for me.
Anyways, on monday I should find out who my outreach team will be :) Yay!

WELL, JACK & DREWZ DON'T NEED TO DRIVE 5 HRS TO BANFF THIS WINTER, WHISTLER IS SO MUCH CLOSER. BUT IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME LIKE OUR GOOD OLD SUNSHINE/MAMOT AT THE ROCKIES!!

Well, hope you get sent to Egypt for 3 months, just cause it won't be as cool if you sit around Australia repairing computers.... you could do that at home.
